enjoying autumn.

I have been SO far from my computer these last few weeks....just soaking up every bit of the changing of the seasons. This beautiful scene is near my home on the south side of Milwaukee, where the forest meets the beaches of Lake Michigan.

lego.

Lego can do no wrong.
These ads are as brilliant and well-designed as the toys themselves....and are doing a swell job of making me miss "creation" makin' with my creative little nanny kids.
They also remind me of one of my favorite quotes by Nietzsche:
"Maturity consists in rediscovering the seriousness one had as a child at play."
So true.

the grand canyon through the diana.

These are otherworldly.
I remember standing at the edge of this canyon marvelling, wondering how on Earth I'd be able to replicate the feeling one gets when they see it for the first time.
But the quiet, the depth, the MAGNITUDE makes it feel like you're exploring the moon or deep under the ocean or well, you'll see. I dig em.

road trip with the diana.

My pretty little Diana, she's one hell of a road trip companion. I should play with her more often.
[I say that EVERY time I develop a roll.]

damn fine tunes.

Tallest Man on Earth

Black Dub

I have been thoroughly addicted to listening to NPR Tiny Desk Concerts while editing photos lately, and loved these 2 performances so much I invested in some new vinyl for fall. Enjoy:)

levitate.

These are rad. Photographer Natsumi Hayashi's self-portraits have almost zero intervention: no photoshop, no wires, no tricks. Just a 10-second self-timer and no fear of falling (in subways, no less).
